WOWAWEWOW...do I look like an idiot. Sorry man, I think it was a combination of me being bitter from that game/ tryin to stick up for Russ. It's the Italian in me.
I'm shocked that you thought I could take a joke.. I'm really just a jerk with no sense of humor, haha. I'd watch out for Russ though, he said something about taking out your organs through your rectum.

Kyle and Russ- thanks for the support. I appreciate you guys coming out and contributing to the festivities. Also, appreciated you sticking around to watch the Finals. As far as pitch speed, I was too busy dealing with Cereal Killers to notice, but Justin (Rampage) did tell me that he had no problem throwing harder once he saw how hard Russ was throwing. All the more reason to have a lower speed limit. Make it obvious so we're not all squabbling over a few mphs. If you're struggling to make good contact it's too fast. Plain and simple. What speed makes that obvious?

Now that's better, Russ. Of course, now that Kyle has shown that he can be messed with, he can expect much worse than that in the future.

If you are going to remove my organs with your bare hands, would you mind starting with my prostate?

Is the rumor that you have named your 4 pitches "The Portugese Breakfast," "the Belgian Steamer," "The Fickle Finger of Fate," and "The Commander Sulu" true?

dave, thanks for recognizing our/my integrity. To set the record staight, I also requested the gun remain on BOTH of us for the remainder of the game. With a new 5 inning game and the gun on both of us, the results would have certainly been different. My only regret is that I did not call the gun after the 1st pitch of the game, because it was very clear. But Rampage was gracious and they did not complain at all. If they are upset they did not give any indication. As far as MY speed goes, I am most effective when I'm between 38 and 40 (+/-) and thats why I pitch there. If I thought rampage was near that I would have said nothing. Live and learn, Congrats to rampage, doom, cereal killers, and all that came out and had fun. Trotta, you are the king of wiffleball. I hope I'm around when you get the 100th, you deserve it! oh, dave, I WILL remove your vital organs one at a time with only my hands. Bye

Oh my god. Did you guys really take me seriously?

This might be news to everybody, but about 3% of what I say is serious.

To give you the setup, someone you played at some point during the day was bitching that you guys (and I assume it was Russ) were throwing too hard, to which I told him that he needed to call the gun. When I later heard that you had to call for the gun in the semis, I thought it would make for a hilarious blog post. And I was exactly right. It was hilarious.

As for Russ, we have played you guys like 10 times, and we have asked him to slow it down once or twice. We have never called the gun on him because he always slows it down when you ask most of the time he isn't over (or if he is it is very close). If we really thought he threw too hard and did it on purpose, we would have the gun ready before we even started. And it also isn't like I am afraid to tell him either. I have held 5 MMA World Title belts in the heavyweight division, so if he gave me any crap I could choke him out in like 3 seconds. Okay, that isn't true, but I do carry a gun to all tournaments.

And Lou couldn't throw 45 MPH if the fate of the free world depended on it. Believe me. I know. In fact, when he was younger they had to have a meeting with his parents because he had characteristics of both sexes so they had to decide whether they wanted him to be a feminine boy or a very rugged girl. He still has vestigal female sex organs.

But come on, you guys are too easy to mess with. You didn't even think it was a little funny? Not at all?

Haha…ok I want you guys to know the extent of the gas he was throwing, this is the problem when some of the fast pitch teams are in a slow pitch format. There was one pitch where I got hit in the wrist and didn’t even have enough time to attempt to move to get out of the way; I’m tellin you he was throwing absolute smoke (easily over 50). For the first two innings, the only contact i made was was a foul back (I mean, you can say that I suck at hitting, which is fine, but I think I’m at least a little better than that). To tell you the truth at first I was only contemplating calling the gun, but what sold me was the MULTIPLE fast pitch people that came over to me to tell me to call the gun. I personally do not mind if a person is in the low 40s…but when you are talking about the gas he was bringing it needs to be done.
As far as Russ throwing too hard, you need to be man enough to tell him, not just to blog about it!!! Trust me, on the outside he looks like a big meany, but on the inside he is just a big teddy bear. There are multiple pitchers out there that occasionally throw in the low 40s, and yes Lou is one of them. I understand it is sometimes hard for a pitcher to tell, that’s why they need to be notified.
It stinks that it has come to everyone having to know when someone calls the gun on somebody, especially in a sport where everyone is so close to each other.
Congrats to Doom, very well run tourney, I appreciate all the free “fresh” water.
